<p>- shedding weight isn&#8217;t essentially as clear cut as many folk make it appear. There may be alot of things that are essentially stopping you from losing those first 10 pounds. Medical conditions like an overactive thyroid essentially slow down your metabolism and make your body hold on to these additional pounds. </p>
<p>- The key to losing weight and keeping it off is essentially raising your metabolism. So how do I raise my metabolism you can be asking? Well it&#8217;s essentially not that tough if you know what you do. Eating frequent little meals common-or-garden will really help to do that. </p>
<p>- Raising your metabolism is all about &#8220;kick beginning it&#8221; regularly during the day.</p>
<p>So each time you really eat your metabolism is &#8220;kick started&#8221; and starts burning off more fat. The issue is that the general public eat far too much and this leads on to weight gain glaringly. But if you eat tiny frequent meals during the day you get your metabolism going without putting on additional weight. </p>
<p>- It may seem like alot but 4-6 meals every day is what you want to shed pounds. But the most important thing to recollect here is that each meal should be little in size and low in fat. This way your eating lowcal meals while getting your metabolism going at the same time.</p>
<p>- Ultimately its glaringly critical that you&#8217;re employed exercise into your life. If your a girl then doing some light weight lifting will help tone you up. Not merely will this tone you up but you will build a touch of muscle that will help to raise your metabolism! Everyone knows what a higher metabolism will do for you right? </p>
<p>The same thing here is applicable to males also. Lifting weights will add muscle and raise your metabolism that may lead to further weight loss. Obviously running is also critical when it comes to shedding pounds for both men and girls. I might advocate when beginning off to start slow and work your way up with the running and weight lifting.</p>

<p>Not only is eating healthy good for you but it will also help you to lose weight. Clearly one of the largest factors behind weight gain is a bad diet. </p>
<p>- cut down on your calorie intake at first! Attempt to take your calorie intake down by at least 25% and you may notice some gentle weight reduction.</p>
<p>- Eat more fruits and veggies! Vegetables and fruit are truly good for your body and are full of anti oxidants which help fight cancer. Not just that but fruits and vegatables are truly good for your heart and just your overall health. </p>
<p>- Almost eliminate your red beef intake! I know this may be hard for some folks but its kind of important as new studies indicate that red beef boost your cancer risk.</p>
<p>I continue to think eating red beef once each 7-14 days is fine. </p>
<p>- Eat more fish! No im not talking about stopping by Long John Silvers to get their oily fried fish. Im talking about eating some lean beef like Salmon! Salmon is completely full of Omega three trans-acids that has been demonstrated to be really good for your heart. </p>
<p>Ok well thats just about it! Oh, well I guess I should cover another area which is junk food. I can&#8217;t say enough about how damaging junk food really is for you! This stuff is threatening and terribly dangerous for your body, so you have to avoid junk food at all cost! The issue isn&#8217;t really finding a diet that works, but rather finding a diet to which a person can stick. The diet industry is very large. Between books, diet food programs, trainers and nutritionists, spas, and all the other parts of the health and diet industry a lot of money, over 46.8 billion dollars in 2005, is made not from people becoming healthy or losing weight, but rather from people attempting to become healthy or lose weight. Because the money comes from repeat business, the focus is naturally on methods and products that work for a short time but result in return business.</p>
<p>So you want a diet that works? Here&#8217;s one. Drink only water, eat only a thousand calories each day, and combine it with 30 minutes of aerobic activity 5 days a week. It&#8217;s a given you&#8217;ll lose pounds. But there are two difficulties. #1 cravings will likely blow the diet. Sooner or later, particularly after returning home from work outs, those 1000 calories won&#8217;t be sufficient to satisfy. First it&#8217;s a potato chip or piece of cake, then it&#8217;s an extra hot dog and the whole bag of chips, and then the diet is ended. The second problem is what happens after the diet is over? Everyone knows that diet, lowering food intake, and exercise, increasing the number of calories you burn, combine into a formula for losing weight. But sticking to the diet is the hard part. It won&#8217;t be easy, but with a little work it sure is easier. Here are some tricks to make it easier.</p>
<p>Carry a notebook to jot down everything that passes your lips. Taking notes will help you eat less. Studies show that people who keep track of what they eat end up eating 15% less. 15% is a lot.</p>
<p>On average Americans consume 245 calories a day from drinks. Make the switch to 0 calorie water. 245 calories a day add up to 90,000 calories each year. That&#8217;s 25 pounds. Are soda and juice really that good? Keep in mind too that juice and soda don&#8217;t trigger a feeling of fullness, despite their calories.</p>
<p>Grazing, eating more smaller meals during the day rather than a few large meals, is another way to drop weight. Eating more meals with smaller portions results in eating 30% fewer calories. You&#8217;re also less likely to binge because the body won&#8217;t produce as much insulin which leads to hunger.</p>
<p>Get rid of the &#8220;fat&#8221; clothes. If you don&#8217;t have clothing that&#8217;s comfortable when you&#8217;re heavier, you&#8217;re more likely to be reminded to keep the weight off every time you dress. And if you have to purchase a whole new wardrobe you&#8217;re less likely to gain weight.</p>
<p>Switch to smaller plates. It&#8217;s been proven that people eat more when more food is in front of them, and they eat less when less food is in front of them. Use the salad plates instead of dinner plates.</p>
<p>Similar to the idea of using smaller plates, serve your food on the plate rather than in bowls on the table. Again, people tend to eat what&#8217;s in front of them.</p>
<p>Avoid white foods such as white bread, sugar, and white rice. Those foods are loaded with carbohydrates which lead to higher blood sugar and weight gain. Do eat whole grain breads and brown rice. Don&#8217;t be concerned with the sugar, pretty soon you won&#8217;t miss it.</p>
<p>There are a lot of other tips for easy ways to lose weight. Don&#8217;t think it won&#8217;t take a little work. If weight loss were effortless everyone would be slim all the time</p>

<p>Get poor. Toss away your money so you can&#8217;t afford food. (Um, no. That&#8217;s a bad idea.)</p>
<p>A way to ensure you gain more weight is to try all those quick diets then ping-pong back the other way when they&#8217;re done. Don&#8217;t do it.</p>
<p>Exercise at every opportunity, even at the desk with some leg lifts. (That&#8217;s a great idea to increase caloric burn.)</p>
<p>The three most important factors in healthy diet are portion control, portion control and portion control. (Portion control is a big part of a healthy diet. Most restaurants and even people at home serve portions that are too large.)</p>
<p>Get really sick. After a month in the hospital I had lost 25 pounds. (Another bad idea. It&#8217;s best to stick to ways to lose weight while remaining healthy. After all, the ultimate goal is better health.)</p>
<p>Stick to something long enough to repeat it a few times, then you can coast. (It&#8217;s said that if we repeat a thing 21 times it becomes a habit. Sometimes the number is different, but the idea is the same. Will power is only necessary to repeat something enough times for it to {become|turn into a habit.)</p>
<p>When you eat fast the body doesn&#8217;t have time to feel full. Go slow.</p>
<p>These are all great tips from regular people just like us. Most of them also happen to be common advice given by experts in safe weight loss. So ways to lose weight fast do exist, and they&#8217;re not something only professionals can understand.</p>

All the versions of this diet share in common specific steps that must be followed and foods that must be eaten in order for the diet to work. What better way to blame the dieter when it doesn&#8217;t work than &#8220;you botched the formula.&#8221;</p>
<p>Breakfast on the first day begins with coffee (no sugar), one half a grapefruit, and a piece of toast with 1 Tbsp peanut butter. Lunch is a can of tuna, a piece of toast, and black coffee. For dinner it&#8217;s 3 ounces of chicken or lean meat, a cup of green beans, one cup of carrots, one apple, and one cup of regular vanilla ice cream. The other two days of the diet are relatively similar in meal quantity, though the specifics change, for example Day 2 recommends two beef franks for dinner in place of three ounces of lean meat. Supposedly it&#8217;s possible to lose as much as 10 pounds in only three days.</p>
<p>Hogwash is the answer. The question is what is a specific reaction to that claim? There is no evidence for the so-called &#8220;specific metabolic reaction.&#8221; The only reason this diet would shed pounds is because of the lack of calories in the diet. In fact, because the diet is so low in carbohydrates a person could lose ten pound in three days. Of course most of that would be water weight because carbohydrates encourage the body to retain water. By the way, losing that much weight from not retaining water is dangerous as the body needs water to survive.</p>
<p>Because of binge eating after such starvation and because most of the weight lost is from water, the weight will quickly return after the three days. Deprive the body of water in three day cycles enough times and a person could develop kidney damage, dehydration, or a host of other dangerous conditions.</p>
<p>The 3 day diet is best treated as a no day diet. In other words, don&#8217;t do it.</p>
